nfrancois.fr is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus (hostinger.com (opens in a new tab)). The server is located in France, with backups in Lithuania, within the European Union.

This site has no user accounts. It processes personal data in three cases.

When you write to me. Your email address and your message are used only to reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in replying to the messages received (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

When you give feedback, for example after a talk, using a form on this site. Your rating and comment reach me by email, anonymously if you leave neither an address nor a signature. They are used to improve my talks (legitimate interest). If you check the box provided, your comment may be quoted on this site, on my social media, or in my presentations, with the signature of your choice: this is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

When you subscribe to the IA, Tech & Travel Café newsletter from a form on this site. Based on your consent, given by checking the box provided, you receive a confirmation email: your address is added only once you click its link. You can unsubscribe in one click from any issue.

This data is processed on my behalf by Supabase, which hosts the feedback database, by Brevo, a French company that delivers the feedback to me by email, and by Ghost, the platform that sends the newsletter. It is never sold or shared with third parties. Messages and feedback are deleted no later than three years after our last exchange; a subscriber’s address is kept until they unsubscribe.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data. To exercise these rights, write to hello@nfrancois.fr. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr (opens in a new tab)).

This site sets no tracking cookies. There is a single technical cookie: on restricted-access pages, it remembers for six months that you entered the access code. It contains no personal data and, being strictly necessary, requires no consent. To limit code attempts, your IP address is kept in hashed form for fifteen minutes.

Traffic is measured with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly European tool with no cookies and no individual tracking: statistics are anonymous and aggregated (number of visitors, page views, traffic sources).
